Recruiting

Members of Hermann Göring maintain strict guidelines with regards to our uniform accuracy and historical impression. As a member of Hermann Göring you are required to have the basic layout of equipment that a German soldier would be issued in World War II. Knowledge of German military tactics and lifestyle are also needed, And we also ask that you learn some basic German terms and phrases much of this is acquired from interacting with Alte Hassen (old hands) .

New and prospective members are encouraged to BUY NOTHING until they have spoken with an Alte Hasse about what equipment they will need and where the best place is to buy it. If you purchase something before becoming a member, there is no guarantee that your item can be used in HG . All personal items and uniform articles must meet our unit guidelines for historical accuracy — there are no exceptions!

Hermann Göring Requires two uniform impressions your basic continental and tropical, every member is required to have these before they become a full member of HG. We pride ourselves in the fact that we are very authentic in all aspects of this hobby. We are constantly trying to upgrade our individual and collective unit impressions. We do so by setting high standards in our uniform presentation, field tactics, camp and barrack impressions.

In addition, our members organize and attend Battle Reenactments, living history programs and volunteer in vehicle and equipment Restoration Projects,
One thing we emphasis in HG is for all of our members to focus their efforts on the Unit Impression — not an individual one. We believe By doing so we can best represent HG as it was during World War II.

The "HG" Living History Society is a non-political history education group. Persons who express or
otherwise advocate the views and philosophies of any racist, extremist, or separatist group need not seek
contact with us or any other reenacting group. Though we seek to accurately Portray the soldiers of one of
the Third Reich's keystone combat organizations, we in no way desire to promote the ideologies that brought
them to battle in the first place.
